In Tally / Tally.ERP9 one can create 2 Types of Companies

1) Accounts Only 

Company Type Accounts only, is suitable for Professionals like Doctors, Lawyers, Chartered Accountants and other skilled service providers who doesn't deal in stock / goods. 

2) Accounts with Inventory

Company Type Accounts with Inventory, is suitable for Manufacturers,Traders who need to hold and maintain stock / goods along with Accounts.
