How to Delete a Company in Tally / Tally.ERP9?
Button / Key to Delete a Company is intentionally hidden by Tally, as any time by mistake, the user may click on Delete Button and may loose the Financial data. Hence to safeguard the user data, delete key is not disclosed on Tally Application.
However if intentionally the user wants to delete a Company data, for any reason, then he / she can follow the below steps to delete a company.
Note:- Before deleting a Company, have a practice of taking data backup, as once you delete a company from Tally, you cannot retrieve it back again.
To delete a Company in Tally / Tally.ERP9 from Gateway of Tally >> Press the Button "Cmp Info" from Right Hand Side Vertical Button Bar ( as shown in Figure 0.1 ) or from Key Board >> Press the Key combination [ Alt + F3 ]

Under Company Info menu select "Alter" menu ( as shown in Figure 0.2 )

Select the Company which you wants to delete and press the Key combination [ Alt + D ] and Press [ ENTER ] Key or [ Y ] Key ( as shown in Figure 0.4 )

Which further Confirms with Re-Confirmation Dialog Box ( as shown in Figure 0.5 )

Press [ ENTER ] Key or [ Y ] Key which deletes the Company from Tally Data Base.
