New Financial Year - How to move into the new financial year, without splitting company in Tally / Tally.ERP9?

To continue Tally books without splitting company data, follow the below steps.

1. Load the company which you want to continue. Refer Figure 0.1

2. From "Gateway of Tally" Press [ Alt + F2 ] Key combination from Keyboard or Press the Button "Period" from Right Hand side Vertical Button Bar, as shown in Figure 0.2

3. Input New Financial Period as shown in Figure 0.3 and accept the "Change Period" screen.

4. Now you can notice the period changed in "Gateway of Tally" under "Current Period" field, as shown in Figure 0.4.

5. Now you can start working in new financial year without splitting the company and all your previous year ledger closing balances will be carried forward automatically.

Warning: Do Not Change the field value "Financial year begins from" and "Books beginning from" under Company alteration screen. If you do, you will loose entire previous year Tally data. Refer Figure 0.5
