How to create a Group Company in Tally / Tally.ERP9?
To create a Group Company one should have more than 1 Member Company selected / loaded in Tally, only then "Create Group Company" Menu gets activated under "Company Info." refer Figure 0.1 and Figure 0.2 for the difference.

To create a Group Company first load any one member company; then again from Gateway of Tally >> Press the Button "Select Cmp" from Right Hand Side Vertical Button Bar (as shown in Figure 0.3) or from Key Board >> Press the Key [ F1 ] and load the next company. This process needs to be repeated based on the number of companies the user wants to group.

From "Company Info." menu Select the sub menu "Create Group Company" or Press the Keyboard Key "G" as shown in Figure 0.5

After selecting "Create Group Company" sub menu, Group Company Creation page gets opened, as shown in Figure 0.6. Fill all the required details, and in the bottom of the page under the Field "Member Companies" select all "Member Companies" listed.

After selecting the listed companies as shown in Figure 0.7 accept the screen.

Now you can notice "Group Company" got created and selected along with member companies as shown in Figure 0.8

Now the user can start to generate "Group Company" Reports.
i) The base currency of the member companies should have the same symbol and formal name.
ii) Ensure that the Profit and Loss a/c ledger in all the member companies has the same nomenclature, avoid creating a new ledger for the same. It is suggested the default ledger provided by Tally be used for the Profit and Loss a/c.
