How to delete a Group Company in Tally / Tally.ERP9?


Deleting a group company is similar to deleting other individual companies from Tally.

To delete a group company first load / select the group company which you wants to delete (refer Figure 0.1)

After loading / selecting group company, from Gateway of Tally >> Press the Button "Cmp Info" from Right Hand Side Vertical Button Bar ( as shown in Figure 0.2 ) or from Key Board >> Press the Key combination [ Alt + F3 ]

Under Company Info menu, select "Alter" menu ( as shown in Figure 0.3 )

Which further takes you to Company Selection Screen, where it lists out active selected companies ( as shown in Figure 0.4 )

Select the group company which shown with Asterisk symbol (*) and Press [ ENTER ] Key and in group company alteration screen, press the Key combination [ Alt + D ] and Press [ ENTER ] Key  or  [ Y ] Key ( as shown in Figure 0.5 )

Which further Confirms with Re-Confirmation Dialog Box ( as shown in Figure 0.6 )

Press [ ENTER ] Key  or  [ Y ] Key which deletes the Company from Tally Data Base.
